An information entropy-based risk assessment method for multiple-media gathering pipelines

Abstract Unrefined and highly corrosive upstream petroleum resources complex operating environments pose a significant threat to the integrity safety of gathering pipelines. The present study proposed novelty method perform risk assessment for use historical failure data developed fishbone diagram model hazard factors. index system was based on KENT method, including likelihood consequence coefficient models. Information entropy theory used determine weight each indicator. Combined with area-level design coefficient, welding institute (TWI) improved classification different areas. applied 81 Results demonstrated that could meet actual conditions pipelines, improving energy security.
